Swinging Saturdays #49: Favorites of the moment

Swinging saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

1. Lilly Wood, The Prick & Robin Schulz ~ Prayer In C

I know, I know, this is not usually my style but this just sticks to you as glue. No matter how many times the radio played this song, it has not bored me yet. This is the first time I heard a live version of this, though it is pretty good.

2. Alberta Cross ~ Bonfires

I loved the first album of Alberta Cross, Broken Side Of Time. A little while ago I downloaded the second album Songs of Patience and this song immediately became one of my favorites.

3. Sam Smith ~ I'm Not The Only One

Goose bumps, that is what the first song, Stay With Me, gave me. Now his second big hit came out I'm Not The Only One, it has the same effect. Men, that guy can sing, and has an incredible voice.

4. Rival Sons ~ All The Way

Last year I bought Classic Rock Magazine, for something to read over the holidays. This magazine was featuring Rival Sons, with a 9 pages long interview, and I also got a cd with the magazine to listen to Rival Sons while reading this interview. I absolutely loved their sound and has become one of my favorite bands.

5. First Aid Kit ~ My Silver Lining

I have been trying to learn the lyrics for this song, which has proven rather difficult, especially the third line from the first verse.

6.Hozier ~ Angel Of Small Death & The Codeine Scene

Still awesome. That is all I am going to say about it.

7. Asaf Avidan ~ Cyclamen

Say what? This is an artist I often listen to, and every time my mom askes me, who is this? It's Asaf Avidan, mom, you still can't remember it can you? LOL it is really funny. This is one of my favorites form the album Different Pulses.

8. Jake Bugg ~ Broken

Jake such a peculiar voice, and I mean that in a good way. This song is so beautiful, and this live performance? Incredible!

9. Alt-J ~ Breezeblocks

This song is kind of strange but I like it. Allthough I cannot stand to listen a whole CD by them, they do make great music.

10. Panic! At The Disco ~ Pas De Cheval

Van de week had ik dit aan op repeat in de auto, dit is van het eerste album van Panic! At The Disco, genaamd Pretty Odd. Als ze weer eens in Nederland spelen ga ik zeker heen, want ik heb ze nog nooit live mogen zien.. En oh Brendon Urie, mag best wel een keer aanschuiven voor een ontbijtje :) :P
