Liebster Award ~ First nomination on the new blog!

So I was nominated again for a Liebster award many thanks to Nikki from Love At First Write. Go give her some love!  I have been nominated three times before with my old blog Ice Queen's Bookshelf, I am honored to be nominated again with my new blog! I am glad people appreciated the work I put in here, at Ice Cold Passion and of course also at IJskoude Passie, my Dutch counterpart.

What is the Liebster Award?

11 questions Nikki asked me: 

1. Favorite Book Format?
I love hardcovers because they are so pretty, but I mostly buy paperbacks (because I am a cheap-ass). And because I also have an ereader, I also own a lot of ebook.. So I own a bit of everything, but I am still sticking with hardcovers being my favorite format!

2. Why did you start this Blog? 
Same reason most people have started blogging, I needed an outlet, somewhere I could share my love, my passions in live.

3. Favorite Childhood Book? 
That is a hard question I am going to go with an historical Dutch book which is called: Saartje Tadema by Thea Beckman,  it is one of those book I can't forget, I have read it only once but I can still recall the story as if I read it yesterday.  I don't know if it was ever translated in English, if it is not its one I would love to see translated!






4. Top 4 books on you To-Read list? 

5. What do you think is your most under-appreciated post?
Honestly, I have no idea, can I say all? It's not fair I know, but since I have moved the views have been low, so I will need to work on that :).

6. Who is your favorite author and why?
L.J. Smith I own all her work and love all the books she has written, although I really hope she will be finishing Strange Fate soon, the waiting has been torture!

7. Most prized book that you own? 
Most prized? I am not entirely sure what that means.. Ah, the translator says: appreciated, right I own a beautiful edition of The Hobbit, by the master J.R.R. Tolkien. I would have posted a picture but most of my books are still boxed up in the garage, since I had to move in with my mom again, so no room for all my sweethearts.

8. If you had a magic lamp, what would you wish for? 
I wish I could travel the world, see all the beautiful places it has got to offer, of course the genie will have to cover all the expenses, lol. There are a lot of places on my wishing list: Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the United States, the parts of Canada I haven't seen (Quebec, British Colombia), South America. I could go on a while longer, but I will stop here.

9. Describe your blog with a phrase. 
Ice Cold Passion, book, movie, tv series reviews and ramblings with passion.

10. Favorite season? 
You might have guessed that one by my name, Ice Cold.. Of course it is winter, but only the once like you get in Canada with lots of snow and ice. Not the soggy ones we get here in the Netherlands.

11. Share your favorite quote.
My favorite quote is actually from a tv series instead of a book. It's from Once Upon A Time:

People are gonna tell you who you are your whole life. You just gotta punch back and say, "No, this is who I am". You want people to look at you differently? Make them! You want to change things, you're gonna have to go out there and change them yourself, because there are no fairy godmothers in this world.
