Swinging Saturdays #62: Hard Rockers

Swinging saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

1. Foo Fighters ~ Best Of You

OMG, I have never used a Foo Fighters song on my entire blog? Even after over 60 Swinging Saturdays post, how did this happened? So time to change this forever, without further ado THE FOO FIGHTERS!!!

2. Stereophonics ~ Maybe Tomorrow

Well that was one energizing song to start of this top 10. Now we are going to take it a bit slower. This song, is live much better than the one on the studio album. So another live edition, just listen this beauty. This is from their live album: Live From Dakota, this is the version I fell in love with.

3. Billy Talent ~ Rusted From The Rain

Canadian band! Yeeah! Sorry, but Canada is my second home so I always get a bit excited when I find Canadian bands. These guys sure know how to rock, their music is a bit dark, but their beats are just to catchy to ignore.

4. Stone Sour ~ Through The Glass

I have something to confess, this is the only song I know by Stone Sour. Every time I hear this somewhere on the radio, I think: "Oh I love this" I just never looked further into their music... Here is a beautiful acoustic version of their most famous song Through The Glass

5. Lostprophets ~ Last Train Home

I know I know, the singer of this band is well let's just call him mentally unstable or just downright insane... He got arrested for child abuse, this also meant the end of Lostprophets. This song always gets me moving, put this on when I am asleep, and you might find me jumping up around as if it is them middle of the day.

6. Alberta Cross ~ ATX

The whole layout of this song, screaming guitars turning quite then picking up again. The dynamic of this song is great.

7. Muse ~ Physcho

Please give this band an award for every song they make. Honestly, one of the greatest bands ever and I had the pleasure of finally seeing them live this year so "Yeah" for me! Their live show was just not of this earth. Amazing! This song is of their latest album, which I got for free by the concert tickets.

8. Placebo ~ Protège Moi

Yes, Muse and than Placebo, I came to love both bands around the same time. They have one thing in common, you have to get used to them first. If you are not a fan yet and have trouble getting in to either Muse or Placebo, listen the ablum (doen't matter which) again and again, and then just one more time. After that your hooked. Protège Moi is I think my favourite of all, must be the French language, I am kind of a sucker for French songs. Everthing sounds so pretty in French, even when it is not.

9. Queen of the Stone Age ~ No One Knows

Again the catchy guitar riffs... Is that the prober term? Yes it is (thank you google for your wisdom). Here's No One Knows for you, just listen to the guitar, alright?

10. Three Days Grace ~ Never Too Late

Oh how I love this song, while writing this I have had this on repeat for about 5 times now. Ever wonder why it take so long for me to get these posts finished? Right I get distracted. Yes, I chose an acoustic version, sorry, but his voice just sound great in this version.
