Swinging Saturdays #56: Have A Ghostly Halloween!

Swinging saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

First of all:

I just had to do that! Very pretty picture, Pumpkin Masters! Anyways, because today is Halloween, I thought up a fitting themed Swinging Saturdays! Ghost! Did you know there are a lot of songs out there about ghost both in the literal sense and figuratively.  You did not know? Well let me introduce you to some of my favorites.

1. Florence + The Machine ~ Ghosts

Florence voice always blows me a way, it is so mystic but at the same time very pleasant and intriguing. This song is almost a capella, be prepared to be amazed.

2. Rancid ~ Ghost Band

Something entirely different then the above (that why I love making these posts). From my favorite Rancid album I introduce to you: Ghost Band.

3. Asaf Avidan ~ Ghost Before The Wall

I fell in love with Asaf Avidan's sound when I first heard the reckoning song in the wankulmut version on the radio. Also know as One Day. I downloaded the album, and shortly found our the Reckoning song in the original intended version was much more beautiful.

4. White Stripes ~ Little Ghost

5. Laura Marling ~ Ghost

6. Blaudzun ~ Another Ghost Rocket

Write this name down, will you? This band wil rock your socks... This song is from the album Heavy Flowers.

7. Nightwish ~ Ghost Love score

I finally get to see them live, end November!!!!! Unfortunately not with Tarja, but who cares! I get to see them live!!!! Tuomas I am coming!

8. Mumford & Sons ~ Ghosts That We Knew

This song is from the second album Babel, and it is sad kind of beautiful. It's touched me, as does a lot of their music, but this song in particular.

9. Paramore ~ Misguided Ghost

I haven't heard this in a while, but I still like it.

10. Alberta Cross ~ Ghost Of City Life

Big fan, their music is something else, I haven't heard anything like it. Did you know they just released their third album? I haven't heard it yet but I am curious. I am hoping they will be doing a European tour soon...
