Hello lovely music lovers, it's swinging Saturdays!!!

And it really is swinging today, because I am enjoying the Lowlands live stream on youtube!! Lowlands is one of the biggest music festivals in the Netherlands. Lot's of different genres are mixed here, but most importantly there a lot of non mainstream bands. Mostly unknown bands (to me) here's where I find awesome music. It is also broadcasted on tv. The other 2 big festivals are De Zwarte Cross and Pinkpop. Today, because it is Lowlands, I am doing a festival Top 5 of artist I found by watching the above festivals.

1. Biffy Clyro ~ Mountains

They played yesterday at Lowlands, but I missed it since I was taking a Spanish lesson.

2. Black Keys ~ Little Black Submarines

They played on Lowlands last year, heard them live on the radio, fell in love with them all over again. I also enjoyed their first album very much.

3. Laura Marling ~ Alpha Shallows

I watched this on television while they were playing at lowlands or pinkpop, I watched open mouthed and couldn't take my eyes of the screen, such an interesting band!!! Love it...

4. Kitty, Daisy, Lewis ~ Going Up the Country

Love this band, this song always makes me happy.

5. Villagers ~ Becoming a Jackal

Also played one of the Dutch festival, was sold.. They also played yesterday, at Lowlands, missed that one too!

So that's it for my Top 5!!!

Hey lovely readers!

Its time for another swinging top 5!!! Oh what do you think of my pic for Swinging Saturdays??? I want to thank one of my classmates for creating this, for one of the projects we had!!! So THANK YOU, you know who you are!  Todays top 5 will be Folky, as in Folk music!! It's another genre I love, I have a lot of folk music on my computer, from well know bands to lesser known band. I made a nice mix of both in this top 5!!

Enjoy!

Irene

1. Mumford and Sons ~ Timshel

At the moment Timshel is my favourite song, I like the multi vocals it sounds awesome! I haven't listened to their new CD, Babel, yet but will get to that, the old one Sigh No More is awesome!

2. The Civil Wars ~ 20 Years

They did a song with Taylor Swift for The Hunger Games, Safe and Sound. I loved it and decided to download their album which is beautiful!

3. Laura Marling ~ Rambling Man

I came across Laura Marling while watching Lowlands (a dutch music festival) on television. I couldn't stop watching it was beautiful and great to watch. Really entranced by it!

4. Flogging Molly ~ If I Ever Leave This World Alive

Don't think they need an introduction, this is THE BEST FOLK BAND AROUND!!!! HUGE FAN!!!! They have about 10 people on stage, with all kind of instruments!!! They are awesome live!!! Seen them twice, I can say it is a unique experience!!!

5. Ha Ha Tonka ~ Close Every Valve To Your Bleeding Heart

I am not sure where I found them, I think their was a song in the Twilight playlist, I found the name rather strange so it spiked my curiousity, turns out their music is great!

So that's it for my Top 5 this week!!!
