Hello lovely music lovers, it's swinging Saturdays!!!
And it really is swinging today, because I am enjoying the Lowlands live stream on youtube!! Lowlands is one of the biggest music festivals in the Netherlands. Lot's of different genres are mixed here, but most importantly there a lot of non mainstream bands. Mostly unknown bands (to me) here's where I find awesome music. It is also broadcasted on tv. The other 2 big festivals are De Zwarte Cross and Pinkpop. Today, because it is Lowlands, I am doing a festival Top 5 of artist I found by watching the above festivals.
1. Biffy Clyro ~ Mountains
They played yesterday at Lowlands, but I missed it since I was taking a Spanish lesson.2. Black Keys ~ Little Black Submarines
They played on Lowlands last year, heard them live on the radio, fell in love with them all over again. I also enjoyed their first album very much.3. Laura Marling ~ Alpha Shallows
I watched this on television while they were playing at lowlands or pinkpop, I watched open mouthed and couldn't take my eyes of the screen, such an interesting band!!! Love it...4. Kitty, Daisy, Lewis ~ Going Up the Country
Love this band, this song always makes me happy.5. Villagers ~ Becoming a Jackal
Also played one of the Dutch festival, was sold.. They also played yesterday, at Lowlands, missed that one too!So that's it for my Top 5!!!
