About Leopard Moon

How do you disappear when you come from a family of predators?

A wereleopard, Kess is forced to flee her home and family in Miami once her brother's obsession with her turns violent. She runs from city to city, trying to stay one step ahead of the investigators her family has dispatched to bring her home.

Kess ends up in the mountains of North Carolina and attracts the attention of Cormac, a young man with a secret of his own. As she attempts to live as normal a life as her were-nature allows, her brother Sek continues to hunt for her.

He believes she is the key to revitalizing their weakened clan and is driven to extreme measures to ensure their continued existence. As Kess' relationship with Cormac deepens, Sek closes in, threatening Cormac's life and Kess' freedom.
When the moon rises, the hunt is on….

My Review

Let me tell you something personal first, this book was my the first ebook I read, and I ready it on my laptop at the time, because I didn't have an ereader yet. To be honest I was very new to the concept, I came across these free ebooks via one of the Goodreads groups I am part of.  I went to Amazon and found out I could install kindle on my laptop. So I did, and I looked for one of the freebies in my favorite genre, and that is when I picked up this book.

I actually didn't know what I was getting into when I started reading this, but I got sucked into the story right from the start, and didn't stop until I finished it. The first time I read it I finished it within two days, which for me is very fast.

The story is about Kess, a 17 year old girl and wereleopard, who has been on the run for almost a year. In the beginning we do not know why exactly she is on the run, but the more the story evolves, the more we get to know about what is going on in the wereleopard society. And the plans her brother Sekmet has planned for her.

When she finally stops running for a while, she finds herself in a little town in the North Carolina mountains. There she meets Cormac, who has a secret of his own. The fun fact about this story is that it is not only told by Kess, but we also get to meet Cormac ans Sek. Getting a glimpse at their minds made this story more diverse, especially Sekmet's prospective was disturbing but a great asset to the story.

Rating

All in all great book! I highly recommend it to everybody who likes shifters! We get to meet a diverse cast of characters, great shifters, very exciting story, with lots of action. It has some small typos but those are easily overlooked when you are reading such a great story. Therefore 5 skaters.
