Swinging Saturdays #67 Pedro Pico Pop 2017

Swinging saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

Today I am going to Pedro Pico Pop, last year was the first time I went and I have enjoyed it very much so I decided to go this year as well. Tickets are only 19 euro's so that was not really a reason not to go. And this year we got a nice treat!

The Animals are playing, one of my favourite rock n roll bands of all time. I have been in love with House of the Rising Sun for ages, which was by far their biggest hit. It turns out that their less famous work is awesome as well, it is one of those bands that is always on my car's playlist.  In today I am going to tell you which bands I will definitely be checking out today.

Mozes and the Firstborn ~ I Got Skills

This is a Dutch band I have been following for a long time, "I Got Skills" is the first song I ever heard, and it is goooood. It always puts a smile on my face.

Money & The Man ~ Once I Was A Man

Did I ever discuss DeWolff with you guys? I can't remember I think "Don't You Go Up The Sky" was in one of my Swinging Saturdays post. Remind me to do a spotlight on them will you. Money and the Man fits in the same category music as DeWolff.

Indian Askin ~ Really Want To Tell You

Wow, I think I managed to select only Dutch bands, except for the headliner of course. Indian Askin is pretty damn good indie rock. That is all I have to say about it. Just give them a chance they are awesome.

Call It Off ~ Abandoned

Can I say the Dutch Green Day, or am I know getting into a war? Please do note I am a big big big Green Day fan myself. Call it Off sounds a bit like it, it has the same catchy beats.Or maybe it is more like poppunk bands Blink 182, or SUM 41

The Animals ~ It's My Life

The song"House Of The Rising Sun" is iconic. I just finished watching a YouTube Video which was a compilation of blind auditions from around the world, who sang "House Of The Rising Sun". I could listen to the song for days and never get bored. Today I have got something else in mind for you guys, something less famous, but really beautiful, it is called: " It's My Life", which for some reason reminded me of another song by the same titel, from Bon Jovi. No Jovi today though, maybe some other time.
