Swinging Saturdays # 72: Give Me My Medicine

Swinging Saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

It is about time that I start this up again, it has been silenced since 2018! Wow that is a long time ago! So much has happend in the mean time. I miss blogging but just have not found my way back to it until now.

The best way of coming back is with a Swinging Saturdays post of course. Even though I was not blogging, I still wrote down ideas for a top 5 or top 10. These ideas always come randomly, then I write them down in my blog book for later use. I have about 10 written down at the moment, so there is much more to come, I hope you enjoy each one. This post could have been about music being my medicine for many aches. Yet I decided to make it more literal, bands tend to write about drugs more times then I would like to but it makes a great top 5.

4 Non Blondes ~ Morphine and Chocolate

4 Non Blondes has been present in many of my Swinging Saturdays post, the one cd they made is one of my favourites of all time, so that is why the songs keep popping op here. I just love Linda Perry's voice, the raw edge and the energetic songs.

Placebo ~ Special K

Special K is of course a very popular breakfast cereal, but it is also the street name for Ketamine. Funny now I come to think of it, Placebo is of course also a medical term. Funny, never really thought of it before. Placebo is a band I rarely listen to, when I do turn it on, I enjoy it very much, it one of those bands that is easily forgotten by me.

Hozier ~ Angel Of Small Death And The Codeine Scene

Mmmm Hozier, I still remember the concert like it was yesterday, don't even remember how long ago this was. I have not yet listened to the new album, still have to pick it up.

Queen Of The Stone Age ~ Feel Good Hit Of Summer

Addictive substances, well QOTSA sums it up nicely for you.

Pretty Reckless ~ My Medicine

Lowlands festival 2017, man I have seen some great stuff there, of course I was in the front with Pretty Reckless.

What is new with you girls and boys?
