Music: Classics that will never be boring.

As many of you might know, I am a big fan of all sorts of music. Earlier this year I promised a list of classics that I like very much, so here is my top 12! If you click on the title you will find the song on youtube! Enjoy my classics! (Oh I couldn't help myself, but classics needs Kurt! Duh)

1. Nirvana ~ Lake Of Fire ~ Were did you sleep last night

This video is of the MTV Unplugged concert, I have the CD and have listened to it so many times that I could dream it if I wanted to. This cd will never bore me even though it has been in my collection for over ten years. A couple of years back I bought the dvd aswell! Lake of fire has always been one of my favorites of this cd, along with Where did You Sleep Last Night.

2. Bette Midler ~ The Rose

Well, this is one of my moms songs, that I have learned to appreciate over the years. And appreciate even more since I am able to understand what it is about. It is so beautiful.

3. Bonnie Tyler ~ Total Eclipse of the Heart

Ofcourse I couldn't pass this one by, this is one of those songs that has been remixed so many times. It is used on tv often, but it is also a very beautiful song! I love her voice with that raspy edge!

4. Joe Cocker ~ Unchain My Heart

Oh my, where to start on this one, just listen and enjoy I would say. I can't sit still if I listen to this song! It is delicious!

5. Lynyrd Skynyrd ~ Free Bird

This is one of the "recent" oldies for me, something I came across only a couple of years back. Everybody knows their other song, Sweet Home Alabama. This is also a well known song, but is wasn't for me, until I started to look up more of Lynyrd Skynyrd to see if I might like/know any of their other songs. Oh the quality of this one is shitty I know, but it is old, I like the old live stuff.

6. Vince Gill ~ Go Rest High On That Mountain

Oh yeah, my new found country genre will have it's share in here as well. This is kind of a religious/funeral kind of song, but I like it. Don't ask me why, maybe the music in combination with the lyrics that does it. Or maybe because it is country. I don't know I just like it.

7. Queen ~ Fat Bottomed Girls

I was planning on another Queen song, but this is a happy song, the other a sad song (Show Must Go On). I am a big Queen lover, and NOBODY will ever forget Queen, since their music is LEGENDARY. And often used for all kinds of media. This is not one that you hear often and that is probably the reason why I like it so much!

8. Falco ~ Jeanny

From happy to sad, this song is about a rapist, and a little girl named Jeanny. It is sad, disturbing, but also beautiful. Yes my neighbours in the east do have some good songs!

9. Billy Joel ~ Piano Man

Going back to happy, my favorite sing a long oldie.

10. Dolly Parton ~ Coat Of Many Colours

She is great, and she was beautiful before the botox. Her voice is one of a kind!

11. Stevie Ray Vaughan ~ Pride and Joy

The bluesy vibes! Can't sit still. Got to thank the Valmont Academy School band for this one!

12. ABBA ~ Chiquitita

Im gonna end this list with a band my dad likes a lot. And the musical/movie I like a lot...
