Swinging Saturdays #78: Australia Rocks Our Socks Off

Swinging saturdays is a musical meme hosted by Ice Cold Passion, to share our passion for music. The goal is to make a top 5 (or Top 10) for whatever genre or artist you like or get creative and share a theme based music top 5. For example a bookish soundtrack, funny songs, song to listen to on a rainy day top 5.

Today is a rainy day, it is not all that warm either here in the Netherlands. Time for some awesome rockers from a country where it is summer, at the moment. Awh summer heat yes that is what we need today!

Let's rock on!

Courtney Barnett - History Eraser

I actually do not know much about Courtney Barnett other than that she is Australian, and knows how to rock and roll! It is kind of grungy I love here sound! I think I picked this out of a festival line up once.
Album: A Sea Of...

Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning

Whenever this is played on the radio, I can't turn it off, it is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head. It is the only song I know by Midnight Oil. I hope you enjoy it as well.
Album: Diesel And Dust

Wolfmother - Joke and the Thief

They have been part of the music scene for some time, they fit right in to the music I generally go for like The Killers (before Human), De Staat, Stereophonics, Royal Blood. They also are on one of my go to Spotify playlist (made by Spotify), which is Beer and Wings. Yes you read that right. Good combination for bbq chicken as well, just so you know. Anyhow great music, if you don't know them go check them out!
Album: Wolfmother

AC/DC - Shook Me All Night Long

Now we had the best of Indie rock and roll, we will go on with a classic, which I always thought came from the USA, I am so sorry guys, I don't know why I thought this. Anyways I had to van some AC in my DC.
Album: Back In Black

Jet - Cold Hard Bitch

Then the creme-de-la-creme, for me at least, because this is definitely one of my favorite bands of all time, that first album of theirs I don't know how many times I have played it but I know all the words, solo's and still love it very much. Without further ado, here is Jet.
Album: Get Born
